Who is responsible for house debri damaging a parked car during a storm?

The other day we had a bad storm blow through high winds and hail and the like, in the process of the storm going through the neighbor across the street had his roof of an add on to his house blow off (this roof was like a carport roof) and it landed on my car doing a lot of damage to the car. Now I got his home owner insurance information and he called them and they told me to go rent a car and I would be reimbursed with the claim was approved, so I did. The next day they denied the claim saying it was an act of god and I just had to deal with it. So I’m just wondering what other options I have here. Thanks for any replies.

You know this just might fall under one of the " Acts of God " clause in the insurance of who ever had the roof come off.
Hope this gives you some ideas as how to approach this trouble.

If there was negligence on the part of the homeowner, such that you could have sued him, then his insurance should pay.

If it was a true act of God, for which he is not responsible, then your insurance should pay, if you have comprehensive coverage.

SUE THE CHURCH!! They will either have to prove he/it exists and not pay or accept that there is no such thing as god!!
